Ten years from now, what human work will remain in the age of AI?
Many people worry about which jobs AI will replace.
It is true that AI will take on much of the labor.
Preparing documents.
Analyzing.
Making plans.
Writing.
AI will keep making this kind of work more efficient.
But work was never merely the performing of "tasks."
Why do we do this work?
Whom do we want to make happy?
What future do we want to realize?
Deciding that meaning is something only humans can do.
And choosing that future, moving people, and generating hope—these too are human roles.
AI can predict the future.
But it cannot choose the future.
AI can propose the optimal method.
But it cannot hold the intent of "what kind of society do we want to build."
The era of defending our jobs is ending.
From now on, it is those who create the meaning of work who will generate new value.
